Marion Vidal(France)

Following her family tradition, Marion Vidal studied architecture. She attended the Architecture School of Paris Belleville for 6 years and concurrently pursued other artistic activities such as harp, piano, contemporary dance and drawing. Her life seemed dedicated to architecture when she decided to turn her focus to fashion. She studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp where she graduated in 2003.

Her first creations where based on accessories, combining metallic frameworks and dickeys made of massive ceramic balls.

In 2004 Marion Vidal created her brand.

From 2006 onwards her work focused effectively on accessories.

At the same time she worked with the brands Salviati, Céline, Christofle and Lacoste.

In 2012 Marion has opened his shop in Paris, 13 avenue Trudaine.

In 2011 Marion was awarded the « Grand Prix de la Création de la Ville de Paris »

Architectural drawing influences Marion's work, the result of which is a very non-conventional approach of jewellery. Her reference to necklines, dickeys and fineries tends to suggest clothes.

Marion Vidal plays with links (ribbons, cords) and highlights contrasts (strong/delicate, flexible/rigid, mat/shiny, rough/elegant). She matches luxury and elegance with childishness, playfulness and femininity. She catches our senses (softness, sound of the balls clanking together, graphic compositions and colours).
